Dear Friends,
I'd like to invite you to a very special event taking place at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Boulder. On Saturday, May 10, 7:00pm we will be presenting Jacquelynne Fontaine, Soprano, in concert. Jacque is a former Miss California (2006 - 2007), and has a stunning, lush, lyrical voice comfortable in a wide range of styles. She will be joined by the Mt. Calvary Festival Choir and vocal soloists from Metropolitan State College of Denver, along with instrumentalists and our own Kristina Eller at the organ and piano. I will be at the piano and conducting this event.
The concert will be performed in English, Latin, Spanish and French, and will feature works by Rodrigo, Hoiby, Cope, Bach, Walton, Delibes, Floyd, and Bernstein. I will present Debussy's beloved Clair de Lune as a piano solo, and the performance will conclude with a rousing version of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus.
The concert will also introduce the Fifth Movement of my own Requiem Op. 120, which I am composing in memory of my father, James R. Myers.
Please come and join us for a beautiful evening of music at the foot of the Rockies!
Peace,
James Myers
