The Mount Calvary Festival Choir practices weekly and sings most Sundays during the program year (usually August through May). This ensemble provides musical leadership within Sunday worship and prepares a variety of music from all time periods and cultures. The choir is a fantastic representation of community at Mount Calvary: we are committed to fun, community, and musical excellence which result in powerful declarations of our faith in and through song. Here is the schedule of anthems for the 2017 spring season.

Jubilation Handbell Ensemble
The handbell ensemble is on break until Fall 2017. When active, this group rehearses weekly and plays approximately once per month. In addition, the players also collaborate with other ensembles at Mount Calvary for festival days and special music. No previous experience is needed to join this ensemble; all are welcome!
Women’s Gospel Ensemble
Founded by members of the congregation, The Women’s Gospel Ensemble rehearses and sings for worship periodically throughout the program year. While the female choral group is rooted in the tradition of Horace Boyer and the Gospel Festival at Mount Calvary, the ensemble has expanded its repertoire to include jazz, Latin American, African, and other styles.
Special Music Sundays
Mount Calvary enjoys celebrating and worshiping with music that represents a wide array of style and culture throughout the year. Worship at Mount Calvary features services centered around Jazz, Latin American, Gospel, African, and Bluegrass music. These diverse Sundays are always a favorite of the congregation and richly enhance Mount Calvary’s music experience.
Soloists and Instrumentalists
Here at Mount Calvary, we are blessed with a talented congregation. Throughout the church year and every summer, we feature soloists and instrumentalists from our own congregation in the Sunday services.
