Arapahoe Parcel Update

The future spirit of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church is ALIVE and well!

During Mount Calvary’s semi-annual meeting on January 27th of this year, the congregation voted to pursue the purchase of the 7th Day Baptist Church located just east of town at 6710 Arapahoe Road. This 5 acre parcel includes a 6,000 sq. ft. Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, a 6,000 sq. ft. classroom and meeting area, and a 3,900 sq. ft. parsonage with adjoining 2 car garage.

Our committee overseeing the purchase has developed an aggressive plan for improvements and upgrades to the property. Following execution and eventual closing of the contract, we will pursue obtaining water and sewer service from Hoover Hills Water and Sanitation District, commence asphalt paving of the upper and lower parking lots, and eventually doing a remodel of the existing parsonage. Combining these improvements along with the direct exposure on Arapahoe Road should help to provide the window we desire to spread the Good News of our faith as we have been called to do.

The Rocky Mountain Synod has agreed to partner with us in this endeavor and walk with us throughout this journey of resurgence.
